The Dove Who Inspired Beyond Barbed Wire by Kimberly J.B. Smith and Andrea Ackerly
Thursday, May 16 @ 3:30-5:00

Meet the local authors/ illustrator as they read their book, share framed illustrations, and present an art activity for kids ages 9 and up.

The Dove Who Inspired Beyond Barbed Wire is the story of Viktor Frankl, a psychiatrist who survived the Holocaust. It is written for children about his message of love, forgiveness and resilience. The authors have been presenting therapeutic art activities that address the pages in the book.  A shared admiration for the life and teachings of Dr. Viktor Frankl inspired this book collaboration. This book and its message will inspire all who read it to focus on the things they can control and focus on fulfilling a loving and meaningful life of service and kindness.
