The summer reading theme this year is "Unearth a Story" and we will be offering programs focused on dinosaurs, STEAM, history, and storytelling.  What great stories will you discover at the library this year?  We will offer three levels for the reading program:

• Family Readers (kids being read to or reading with help)
• Independent Readers (kids reading on their own through the rising sixth graders)
• Teens (those entering grades 7-12 in Fall 2026)

Each level will be challenged to track reading and other fun activities to earn a free book to keep and raffle tickets for some great prizes.

Can't make it today? No problem! Sign up any time during the program, which runs from June 22nd through August 6th.

The Summer Reading Program is sponsored by the Friends of the Wolfeboro Public Library. We absolutely could not offer this without their support.  We are also thankful to present programs funded by the Nicole Jutras Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and the NH State Library Summer Learning Grant with funds administered by the New Hampshire State Library, and provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Additionally, prizes in the forms of tickets, passes, etc. have been donated by: Chuckster’s, Children’s Museum of New Hampshire, Clark’s Bears, Funspot, Gunstock, Lost River, Louis Pizza, Anthony’s Pizza, Nolan’s, Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, Story Land, Wolfgang’s, York’s Wild Kingdom, and the Yum Yum Shop.

Winners for these passes will be drawn on July 10th at noon, July 24th at noon, and August 6th at 2PM.

All reading logs must be turned in by Thursday, August 6th at 2PM, please!
